<p>Cyndi will protect attempts to cut Medicaid and other programs that help lower costs of health insurance for Oklahomans. She also will create programs that increase access to prenatal and maternity care in rural Oklahoma and expand access to mental health services. Cyndi believes that healthcare decisions should be left between families and their doctors and will oppose attempts by the government to insert themselves into those decisions. Oklahoma has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Cyndi will support a state question to overturn Oklahoma’s extreme abortion ban and codify abortion access into our constitution.</p>

<p>Cyndi will stand up to corporations and the wealthiest who want to take advantage of our people and our resources. On day one, Cyndi will issue a moratorium on construction of new data center projects to set guidelines and keep big tech companies accountable when building these data centers. She will end corporate giveaways to large out of state corporations who don’t bring good jobs and seek only profit when moving to Oklahoma. Cyndi has opposed the Inola aluminum smelter project from day one, voting against the over $200 million in taxpayer dollars in giveaways to a foreign corporation to build the smelter. Cyndi has stood up to corporations, like Wal-Mart, that are instituting dynamic pricing that uses technology and AI to determine the price of your groceries based on your behaviors when shopping.</p>

<p>Cyndi believes the key to attracting and growing businesses in Oklahoma is an educated and healthy workforce. She wants to focus on policies that will help everyday Oklahomans take care of their families, and afford housing. She will work to institute mandatory paid family leave for parental and family caregiving. As a legislator, she supported fully funding childcare subsidies for families to get the childcare they need and will continue to fight for that as Governor. Cyndi supports incentives for the building of affordable housing in urban and rural Oklahoma and will stand up to insurance companies to lower home insurance costs for Oklahomans. Cyndi has continually authored legislation to raise the minimum wage and supported the state question earlier this year. She will make it a top priority as Governor to raise the minimum wage for all Oklahomans and provide pay raises for state employees.</p>

<p>Cyndi knows that our tribal nations in Oklahoma are sovereign nations that determine their future for their members and citizens. She will work to heal the fractures between the state and tribes caused by Governor Stitt. Cyndi has traveled across the state visiting with the tribal nations, their leaders, and their citizens and is working to visit all 39 tribes before the end of her campaign. Cyndi will restore a cabinet position for a Secretary of Native American affairs and make it a permanent position, so the relationship between the State of Oklahoma and the tribes can continue to grow stronger.</p>
